Rumour: Everton Target Duo

Everton are interested in signing Tottenham midfielder Niko Kranjcar as well as Belgium U21 starlet Christian Benteke, according to the Sunday People.

Boss David Moyes is hoping to secure a loan deal for Croatian midfield star Kranjcar, although any move depends on whether Tottenham can keep hold of Kranjcar's fellow Croatian, Luka Modric.

The paper also claims that Everton were snubbed last week by both Scott Parker and Matthew Upson, the latter of whom opted for a move to Stoke. It is claimed that Parker is looking for a 'bigger' club.

Good luck with that, Scott.

In order to solve our striking problems, the same paper says that Everton have switched their attention to young Belgian forward Christian Benteke.

The 20-year-old, who scored a brace for Belgium U21 in front of Everton scouts last week, would cost in the region of £1 million - an amount that looks set to be raised by the sale of Joseph Yobo.
