Yobo, Anichebe In Nigeria Squad

Joseph Yobo and Victor Anichebe have both been named in the Nigeria squad for the Super Eagles' upcoming games against Madagascar and Argentina.

Coach Samson Siasia has named a 25-man squad for the two fixtures. As expected it includes captain Joseph Yobo, who is reportedly on the verge of a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce, and Victor Anichebe, who scored in Everton's Carling Cup triumph over Sheffield United last night.

Nigeria will play an Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier in Madagascar on September 4th before flying to Bangladesh for a friendly with Argentina on September 6th. I hear Argentina have this kid called Messi. He's going to be big, apparently.

The full Nigeria squad is: Vincent Enyeama, Dele Aiyenugba, Chigozie Agbim, Chibuzor Okonkwo, Elderson Echiejile, Joseph Yobo, Yusuf Ayila, Efe Ambrose, Dele Adeleye, Danny Shittu, Joel Obi, John Mikel Obi, Fengor Ogude, Kalu Uche, Nosa Igiebor, Solomon Okoronkwo, Ahmed Musa, Obinna Nsofor, Victor Anichebe, Ike Uche, Osaze Odemwingie, Emmanuel Emenike, Peter Utaka, Chinedu Obasi, Brown Ideye.
